Best Selling Children’s Author Andy Griffiths Launches Writing Competition at Black Park
Children from local schools; Montem Academy and James Elliman Academy visited Go Ape’s Net Kingdom at Black Park on 7th March for a very special treat. Best-selling children’s author of the Treehouse Series and World Book Day Author for 2018, Andy Griffiths was at Go Ape to launch their 2018 adventure stories writing competition with a special reading from Andy up in the expansive network of tree top trampolines and tree houses.
Go Ape (www.goape.co.uk) are searching for the UK’s most adventurous authors between the ages of 4 and 12. Back by popular demand, Go Ape have partnered with Macmillan children’s books and Andy Griffiths to launch their 2018 writing competition. There’s the chance to win a selection of weekly adventurous prizes including micro-scooters, mini-boden vouchers, your height in books from Macmillan as well as a Go Ape group adventure in the tree tops for one lucky winner and their class tribe!
The overall winner will be selected by Andy himself and they will win an adventure family holiday from Explore! worth over £5000.
An experience at Go Ape is all about living life adventurously, and Mini Tarzans will simply need to write 100-500 words describing their favourite adventure for the team. These tales can be completely made up or a real account of an exhilarating escapade - if it’s fictional, then imaginations can run wild!
