Easter opening at Household Recycling Centres (tips)

With April here, Buckinghamshire's household recycling centres have now moved to summer opening times, that's 9am to 6pm. Although the sites at Burnham, Chesham, and Rabans Lane Aylesbury are now closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, all nine sites will be in operation across the four days of the Easter weekend.

If you are planning to visit one of our sites over the Easter weekend, remember this can be a busy time, especially if the weather is good. To avoid queues, use our online webcams to check the site before you leave home:

Remember that we're now charging for non-household waste at all household recycling centres, and if you're disposing of this kind of waste you'll need to bring a means of payment. As the payment system is electronic, please be aware that sites are unable to accept payment in cash.

Non-household waste is generally material that comes from construction, renovation and demolition work on buildings or garden landscaping. It includes wood, plasterboard, window frames, soil and rubble, but not green garden waste, which is free.

Disposal of all household waste, including non-fitted furniture and mattresses, also remains free.
