Amersham Library: Amersham at War talk

What: Amersham Museum’s Emily Toettcher will be giving a talk entitled ‘Amersham at War’. She will be covering the experience of living on the ‘Home Front’ in Amersham and also the watercolours of recuperating soldiers, by local artist Caroline Richardson.

There will be a display of a selection of items from the County Reserve’s Rare Books Collection for customers to look at.

These include a large format copy of ‘Newspapers of the First World War’, Volume 1 of Wilson’s ‘Great War’, and a book of maps showing Military Operations in France and Belgium, 1916.

Free of charge. Refreshments will be provided.
