Bucks Best Kept Villages are revealed...

The judging of the 2019 Buckinghamshire Best Kept Village Competition has been completed and the results are now revealed:

Winner of the Gurney Cup (villages with a population of 500 and under) - Aston Abbotts,         

Runner-up - Fulmer 

Winner of the Morris Cup (villages with a population of 500 – 1500) - Hedgerley

Joint runners-up - Chearsley and Cuddington 

Winner of the DeFraine Cup (villages with a population of 1501 – 3000) - Stewkley

Runner-up - Steeple Claydon 

Winner of the Pushman Cup (villages with a population over 3000) -  Burnham 

Runner-up - Chalfont St Peter 

Winner of the Michaelis Cup (small towns) - Winslow

Runner-up - Olney

Winner of the Tindall Cup (competition for the 2017 cup winners) - Chalfont St Giles 

Runner-up - Wendover

Winslow has been awarded the Sword of Excellence as the best overall winner.

The Dashwood Trophy for the best runner-up goes to Chearsley

Downley has been chosen to receive the Community Award
